Climb through wooded slopes, weaving among huckleberry bushes and alpine meadows. Many levels of hiking for the adventurous soul to relaxing nature walks. And it doesn’t stop at summer, switch to snowshoes and do all the same hike’s in the Winter months! Discover the Rossland range and Champion Lakes in Fruitvale, and head an hour out of town towards Nelson to tower above the astonishing Valhalla’s and wander through the Kokanee Glacier.

The Kootenay’s are calling and you must go…. Wilderness trails featuring golden larches in the fall and bright wildflowers in the Summer.

Snowshoeing

The Rossland range offers scenic winter forests and beautiful views galivanting through shimmering snow. The sound is muted deep in the forest, making it serene. The skies are blue on a clear day observing the ridges of the mountains nearby. The possibilities are endless.
