If you’re looking for a low-impact Winter excursion, cross country skiing at Black Jack has a wealth of snowfall, wonderful grooming, and plenty of trails to explore. There are 60 kms of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing. It’s ranked as one of the best cross-country ski areas in Western Canada, hosting many prominent races such as the NorAm Canada Cups and the Canadian Master's Championship. BlackJack is not just about the trails, it’s also a well known ski club with over 700 members. Fun fact: 1 in 6 Rosslanders is a Black Jack member, goes to show the love for skiing in Rossland! For 2026 the club is building a NEW lodge!

Night Skiing at Salmo Ski Hill

Up for a nighttime adventure? Try the night skiing Salmo. Entirely lit runs that are always groomed to precision. Various terrain for the mogul skiing, racers, terrain park, and a bunny hill for the kids or beginners! Some good family fun can be found here and with no lift lines.
